The Story

The Breeze started out in the early 90's with Staffan Öfwerman and Gunnar BySkoglund (Woodgrove and Ofwerman). The band started as a hobby project with just one single, but the guys worked together so well that they continued to write and record songs. The first release was called 'Summer Song', written by Woodgrove. It ended up in the charts on local radio stations. Later that year they recorded 'Pretty Little Boogie Woogie Girl'. During this time Staffan was touring with Roxette as a musician on the Joyride world tour, so songs were recorded during breaks of the tour.

The Breeze decided to move to a new record label and then recorded 'We Take Care', which was also released in several European countries. The following year they released the long time favourite among the fans 'Shine Your Love' and the story ended after their 5th single 'Heaven is a Paradise'.

They sort of disbanded in 1994 and have always been talking about getting the band together, since the music was fun to perform and they always had a great time. But a lot of things came in the way and nothing happened.

Woodgrove moved to another part of Sweden and likes the calm lifestyle. In august 2008, Staffan found some great musicians to work with. The new band members really loved the old recordings, so they all decided to reform the band and make the fun begin again. New songs were written and things started rolling again. Now The Breeze is back with more energy than ever. So fasten your seatbelts and hold on... get ready for a lift off.
